By adding Cereal ("the Bot") to your Discord server or using any of its features, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please remove the Bot from your server.
2. Description of Service

3. User Responsibilities

You must comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines at all times.
3.2 Server Management
- You are responsible for managing permissions and access within your server
- Ensure the bot has appropriate permissions to function
- Monitor bot usage and behavior in your server
3.3 Prohibited Activities
You may NOT:
- Use the bot for illegal activities or content
- Attempt to exploit, hack, or reverse-engineer the bot
- Spam commands or abuse bot features
- Use the bot to harass, threaten, or intimidate others
- Circumvent any restrictions or limitations
4. Bot Usage Rules
4.1 Fair Usage
- Use commands reasonably and avoid excessive spam
- Respect rate limits and cooldowns implemented by the bot
- Do not use commands that may negatively impact server performance
4.2 Content Guidelines
- Commands involving external content (memes, weather, etc.) should comply with Discord's content policies
- Users are responsible for content generated through bot commands
5. Service Availability
5.1 Uptime Guarantee
- We strive for high availability but provide no uptime guarantees
- The bot may experience downtime for maintenance, updates, or technical issues
- Free hosting limitations may affect availability
5.2 Service Changes
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the bot at any time
- We will make reasonable efforts to provide notice of major changes
- No refunds or compensation for service interruptions
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Bot Ownership
- The bot and its code are owned by the developer
- All rights, title, and interest remain with the developer
6.2 User Content
- You retain ownership of content you provide to the bot
- By using the bot, you grant us permission to process and store necessary data for functionality
7. Limitation of Liability
7.1 No Warranties
THE BOT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT.
7.2 Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE BOT.
7.3 Maximum Liability
The developer's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the use of the bot (if any).
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the bot or violation of these Terms.
9. Termination
9.1 Termination by User
You may stop using the bot at any time by removing it from your server.
9.2 Termination by Developer
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the bot for violations of these Terms or for any other reason.
9.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the bot ceases immediately. Data may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Third-Party Services
The bot integrates with third-party services including:
- Discord API
- OpenWeatherMap
- Reddit API
Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through good faith negotiation.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the bot constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
